gimp: error while loading shared libraries: libgegl-0.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The title is just paste from my error while using gimp through my terminal. I tried to open gimp from start menu but nothing is happened. So I opened GIMP from my terminal and get the error

gimp: error while loading shared libraries: libgegl-0.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I got problem solved from ubuntu forum here

So, this is the solution for that error

open terminal and type

cd /etc/apt/sources.list.d/

then type

sudo rm matthaeus123-mrw-gimp-svn-precise.list matthaeus123-mrw-gimp-svn-precise.list.save

Both commands are to remove old GIMP ppas. In the case, I use Ubuntu Precise Pangolin, so, the source list should directed to Pangolin repository. If you're use another version of Ubuntu or  another version of Linux, be carefull with the second command. You can change the precise word with another version of Ubuntu.

Ater that just reinstall GIMP

sudo apt-get remove gimp
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get purge gimp libgegl* libbabl*
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get install gimp

Cisco Packet Tracer Ubuntu

Untuk yang biasa bermain dengan jaringan, pasti tak asing lagi dengan yang namanya Cisco Packet Tracer. Aplikasi untuk simulasi jaringan yang dibuat oleh Cisco. Namun biasanya packet tracer hanya diinstal di sistem operasi Windows.

Nah, kali ini saya akan memberikan sedikit tutorial untuk menginstal software Cisco Packet Tracer pada Linux Ubuntu. Versi Linux yang saya gunakan adala Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Linx).

1. Download Cisco Packet Tracer di http://195.148.217.80/Public/Cisco/Programs/PacketTracer/Linux/Ubuntu/ . Disarankan memiliki koneksi internet yang lumayan, karena ukuran file nya agak besar. sekitar 90mb.

2. Nah, kalau sudah, masuk ke dalam folder downloadnya kemudian ganti hak akses file Cisco Packet Tracernya.

$ chmod 775 PacketTracer53_i386_installer-deb.bin

3. Setelah itu ekstrak dan instal Packet Tracernya

$ ./PacketTracer53_i386_installer-deb.bin



Setelah itu Anda akan melihat EULA (End User License Agreement). Kira-kira seperti ini bentuknya..

Kemudian ketik Y untuk menyetujui EULA dan proses instalasi akan berjalan. Tunggu sampai selesai.

4. Nah, kalau sudah selesai instalasi, lihat aplikasi Cisco Packet Tracer nya di Apllications >> Internet >> Cisco Packet Tracer.
